My name is Darren Voisey and I am a professional photographer with a fine art based practice, looking to also expand into the curatorial industry.
Having a keen interest in lens-based art for several years I am currently in the final year of a BA (Hons) in photography. During my degree I have developed various skills via personal projects, professional opportunities, and collaborations. These include volunteering for the Open Eye Gallery, exhibiting in the Dark Peak photo festival 25, and being nominated for the Photo London Hahnemühle Student Award 2025.
My professional skills include, but are not limited to, Lighting, curation, analogue processes, colour theory, composition, digital and darkroom printing, archiving, and framing. I am also proficient in several software packages such as Capture One, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, Negative Lab Pro, Vuescan and general data storage and cataloguing.
I aim to complete further study to continue developing my existing skill set and arts practice, while also obtaining a position within the curatorial/museum/collections industry. For example, as a junior curator or collections assistant.
I am committed to my own personal and professional development, developing my arts practice, and making a meaningful contribution to the arts industry.
